Role
Within our Clermont Holdings division, and as part of Clermont’s internal consulting team, you will be a business professional to one or more of our operating companies, with a mandate to achieve business outcomes and drive operating change


The role combines elements of strategy and operations, involving close collaboration with management to ensure effective execution


High performing associates will be trained for future leadership within the relevant industry track

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities:

  • Partner with the management teams to evaluate business performance, develop and refine strategy, assess value creation levers, and monitor the competitive landscape of our operating companies
  • Drive day-to-day execution of strategic initiatives within the operating companies, acting as a “change agent” to ensure business goals and outcomes are achieved
  • Act as a liaison between operating companies and Clermont leadership, ensuring clear communication of progress, challenges, and strategic alignment
  • Oversee and manage projects within operating companies, including capital allocation, business model transformation, and operational improvement efforts
  • Lead the analysis and reporting of monthly and quarterly business performance; prepare and present performance review materials to senior Clermont leadership

Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • Familiarity with portfolio management and business valuation experience
  • Background in strategy, management consulting, or M&A
  • Strong financial analysis, modelling and valuation skills coupled with practical, commercial experience
  • Excellent commercial understanding and perspective – the ability to “think like an entrepreneur”
  • Exceptional relational skills, able to represent the company well when interacting with senior stakeholders or external parties
  • Very strong attention to detail and able to “own the numbers”
  • Ability to work easily across cultures and geographies
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work at speed, multi-task and prioritise effectively
  • Comfortable with uncertainty and ambiguity
  • Positive attitude; an "energizer"
  • Openness to experience
  • Hunger to learn – you will be given the opportunity to do work far beyond the scope of a traditional private equity operating role


Administrative Details

Start date: Immediate or on short notice

Compensation: Competitive base salary; discretionary bonus

Benefits: Medical insurance; annual leave

Education: Degree from first-class institution, preferably with a major in Accounting, Commerce, Finance or related fields with a good GPA

Experience: 5 – 7 years of professional experience. Ideally with a background in a top-tier consulting firm, investment bank, or in-house M&A team involving strategic and operational problem-solving

Languages: Excellent command of English required (written and spoken)

Travel: Frequent travel may be required, dependent on business needs
